Necessity may be the mother of invention, but laziness must be its father. These folks may not be Stanford engineers, but they know how to solve a problem in a pinch.
As long as you got a roll of duct tape and two brain cells to rub together, you got what you need to get by.
Some of these quick fixes may not turn out so well down the road, but for here and now they seem to be working just fine, and that's what matters most. Don't worry about the future if you can chill in the present.
